Tingles. Chills. Goosebumps. People’s bumps. Whatever you call them. I had them all over my body that afternoon.

The construction site was buzzing with contractors, cement trucks, construction guys, and our UnbridledACTS guests. All of us stood in awe and celebration as three cement trucks poured their contents into the precisely-set foundation forms.

The foundation of a house, you know, is the most important part. It’s alignment, strength and ability to bear weight determine the soundness of the whole house. As we stood watching the foundation come together, we couldn’t help but feel the prophetic nature of this piece of the house and the ministry that will go on inside it. And to pour the foundation only a week after the “500-year floods” devastated Colorado made it even more meaningful.

The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. – Matthew 7:25

And at the end of the day, this is the view from the driveway. Can’t wait to post this shot throughout the project so you can all watch the house grow with us!
