Elizabeth

Family. Love. Life.

Picture a place where hearts are completely sure of each other. Imagine being able to tear off the mask of guarded and suspicious isolation the world forces us to wear in self-defense, and being free to pour out unreserved communications of a full, confiding heart. What would it be like to gush with expressions of tenderness without any sense of awkwardness or dread of ridicule?

The whole world longs for this, and it’s what we long to offer at the ACTS House in Elizabeth. A healthy picture of home and family where walls of self-protection crumble and expressions of tenderness melt masks of guarded suspicion. Every wandering soul on earth is searching for a place to belong, a Love to believe in, and the courage to become their truest self.

Home is the place in all the world where hearts are sure of each other. It is the place of confidence. It is the place where we tear off that mask of guarded and suspicious coldness which the world forces us to wear in self-defense, and where we pour out the unreserved communications of full and confiding hearts. It is the spot where expressions of tenderness gush out without any sensation of awkwardness and without any dread of ridicule.
